Name: Amino acid (AA) content test kit
Determination method: Spectrophotometric method
Specification: 50 tubes/48 samples
Storage conditions: low temperature and light protection
Validity: 6 months
Note: Choose 2-3 samples with large expected differences for pre-calibration before formal determination.
Measurement significance:
Liver and kidney are the main organs of amino acid metabolism, so the changes of amino acids in urine can best reflect the physiological status of liver and kidney. In addition, amino acids can also respond to burns, typhoid fever and other aspects of the situation. Amino acid content in plants is important for the study of nitrogen metabolism in plants under different conditions and during different growth and development periods, and the absorption, transportation, assimilation and nutritional status of plants.
Principle of determination:
The α-amino group of amino acid can react with hydrated ninhydrin to produce a blue-violet compound with a characteristic absorption peak at 570 nm; the amino acid content is calculated by measuring the absorbance at 570 nm.
Bring your own instruments and supplies:
Benchtop centrifuge, visible spectrophotometer, water bath, 1mL glass cuvette, adjustable pipette gun, mortar, anhydrous ethanol, ice and distilled water.
